Yard Machines 357CC Snow Thrower Review

Weather is one of the most unpredictable things we humans come into contact with every day, and as a result we need to be prepared for every eventuality. One day there could be blazing sun and we can all wander around without a care in the world, then the next there may be 3 feet of snow on the floor blocking out path. Whilst we have got pretty good at dealing with the former (the sun) we still struggle when it comes to working out how to best deal with the latter (a heavy snowfall). Fortunately, a specific piece of technology has been designed to help us in this situation and that piece of technology is the snow thrower. It may seem like a simple device form the outside, but until you really need one you won’t full appreciate them! That is why today, we are going to be looking at the Yard Machine 357cc model.

So what features does it have?

The one thing you really want to make sure your snow thrower can do is move enough snow out of your way that you can then carry on with your day. Well, the Yard Machine does this via a 357cc OHV 4-cycle gas engine which gives it a lot more power than its electric rivals. It also has an advantage over most other snow throwers as there is no need to mix oil and gas therefore making it more efficient. The clearing section of the machine measures 30 inches wide by 21 inches deep, and this means that patios and walkways stand no chance against it! The tyres found on the machine are also impressive as they are 16 inch Snow Hog’s, and they will provide you with excellent grip on both snow and ice.

The positive points

The power this machine has makes it stand out from its rivals and means that it will be able to clear your driveway in no time at all. It has a large clearing section, and the chute that distributes the snow can be twisted to direct it wherever you need it to go. There are a lot of other small features which make the Yard Machine stand out from its rivals, and you can find out more about them here http://snowshifts.com/yard-machines-357cc/

The negative points

The only really negative thing about this machine is its weight. It is a hefty beast and tips the scales at just less than 250 pounds. This should not pose too much of an issue as the wheels negate the weight, but it is something worth mentioning.

It is recommended that you have a snow thrower in your garage if you live in an area which is normally and suddenly affected by snowfall, and you could do a lot worse than to look at the Yard Machine. It does what it is supposed to and it does it well, and it should make your life a lot easier when the time comes to use it!
